Basketball Game Preview: Taos Tigers vs. Espanola Valley Sundevils

The Taos Tigers will face off against the Espanola Valley Sundevils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Taos is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They came out on top against Los Alamos by a score of 45-33 on Friday.

Jasmine Mondragon had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julianna Flores, who posted eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals.

Meanwhile, Espanola Valley entered their tilt with Los Alamos on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Hilltoppers.

Taos' win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Espanola Valley, they are also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.
