Rhiley Crabtree made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.
Meanwhile, Eastern Alamance has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Southern Alamance, sneaking past 11-10.
Brylea Warren was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Edie Stewart, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Eastern Alamance has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Orange, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Orange hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Eastern Alamance struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
