Basketball Recap: Garrett Morgan Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Garrett Morgan entered their contest against Rhodes on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Garrett Morgan Falcons took a 78-60 bruising from the Rhodes Rams. The Falcons lost against the Rams in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 72-26 score last time.

Garrett Morgan's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. As for Rhodes, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garrett Morgan will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Beachwood at 6:45 p.m. on December 30th. Rhodes will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Bard Early College at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
