Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Jefferson Academy and Forge Christian, and Forge Christian kept the tradition alive. The Jaguars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fury on Wednesday. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fury apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Jefferson Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-23.

Eliana Huang paced Jefferson Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Huang got some help from Ravel LaBerge and her 19 assists. Huang was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Jefferson Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Forge Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Jefferson Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Prospect Ridge Academy on the 25th. As for Forge Christian, they will venture away from home to take on DSST: College View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
