Baseball Recap: Clifton Starts Season with Loss at Home

Clifton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 13-6 to the Belleville Buccaneers on Saturday.

Jaycob Irizarry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Colon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Coming up, Clifton will face off against Hackensack at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Belleville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Newark Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
