Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross's last matchup with Collingswood could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Lancers lost 18-5 to the Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 4-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Holy Cross has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Collingswood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Coming up, Holy Cross will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Medford Tech at 3:45 p.m. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Collingswood, they will challenge Gloucester City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
