Softball Recap: Mountain Crest Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tooele, Mountain Crest was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Morgan Trojans by a score of 7-3. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Izzy Laughery, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Abby Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Mountain Crest hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 7-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
