Soccer Game Preview: Chamblee vs. Marist

Chamblee hasn't had much luck against Marist recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home pitch against the War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Marist will be up against a hot Chamblee squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Bulldogs blew past Woodward Academy 8-1 last Tuesday. Given Chamblee's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 56th, while Woodward Academy are ranked 246th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Marist kept a clean sheet against St. Joseph's Catholic on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Knights. The victory was nothing new for Marist as they're now sitting on four straight.

Marist pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 57 goals over those nine contests. As for Chamblee, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
