Basketball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Redmond Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Panthers are ranked 24th).

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Redmond, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will challenge Bend at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Redmond, they will take on Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Summit's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matchups.
