Basketball Recap: Schenectady Comes Up Short

Schenectady was the 82-78 winner over Troy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Schenectady Patriots fell just short of the Troy Flying Horses by a score of 70-68 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Flying Horses are ranked 77th).

Schenectady's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Troy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Schenectady is taking a road trip to take on Christian Brothers Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Troy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against La Salle Institute at 7:00 p.m.
