Baseball Recap: Gallatin County Takes a Loss

Gallatin County lost against Johnston City back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hawks wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Talan Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Gallatin County's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Johnston City, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gallatin County will welcome Eldorado at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Johnston City, they will be playing at home against Waltonville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.2, the Spartans 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
