Volleyball Game Preview: Cranston West Falcons vs. Barrington Eagles

Cranston West is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Barrington a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Cranston West Falcons will be playing at home against the Barrington Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Cranston West is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Classical, who was ranked fourth at the time (Cranston West was ranked 19th). The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Purple on Friday.

Cranston West was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Barrington came up short against Classical on Monday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 25-11.

Cranston West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Barrington, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Cranston West couldn't quite get it done against Barrington in their previous matchup back in June of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
