Basketball Recap: Thompson Piles Up the Points Against Carrington

Thompson put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 61-28 victory over the Carrington Cardinals. That's more bragging rights for the Tommies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Thompson had a senior duo take command as Karter Peterson went 9 of 13 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds and Gavin Krogstad went 5 of 10 on his way to 16 points and five boards. Krogstad's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Drew Odenbach, who posted five points and 13 rebounds.

Thompson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Thompson's record now sits at 3-0. As for Carrington, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thompson will welcome Des Lacs-Burlington at 8:00 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Thompson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Carrington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nedrose at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th.
