Baseball Recap: Dwight Morrow Takes a Loss

Dwight Morrow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to the Wallington Panthers.

Dwight Morrow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Pinet, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Dwight Morrow's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Wallington, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-6-1 record.

Coming up, Dwight Morrow will take on Kennedy at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.64 runs per game on average), something the Maroon Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wallington, they will challenge Elmwood Park at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
