After a string of seven wins, Burroughs's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Huntington Beach Oilers by a score of 12-11.

Haven Vickers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Rangsiyawong, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Burroughs' defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Huntington Beach, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Burroughs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Thousand Oaks on the 25th. As for Huntington Beach, they will head out on the road to challenge Los Alamitos at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
