Dover has gone 8-2 against Ellenville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Dragons will head out to challenge the Blue Devils at 4:15 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Dover's offense. They came up short against Highland on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Dragons have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ellenville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Tri-Valley 10-8. Considering the Blue Devils' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Ellenville got a great performance from George Roe as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Roe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jonathan Torres was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Randazzo, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Ellenville moved to 2-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Dover took their victory against Ellenville in their previous matchup on Monday by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
