Softball Recap: Delta Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Delta can now relate to. They came up short against the Jay County Patriots on Tuesday, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-3 back in April.

Delta saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Everly Carter, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Delta has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Jay County, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jay County, they will face off against Hamilton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
