Basketball Recap: Edgewood Comes Up Short

Edgewood lost against Bishop Fenwick back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Edgewood Cougars received a blow as they fell 60-44 to the Bishop Fenwick Falcons.

Leading Bishop Fenwick to victory were Hudson Kreke and Joey Costello. Kreke went 5 of 8 on his way to 16 points, while Costello went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points. That's the most points Costello has posted since back in December of 2024. Eddie Ferraro was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Bishop Fenwick, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewood will square off against Madison at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Fenwick, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Bishop Fenwick Falcons challenge the Milford Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Milford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season.
