Softball Recap: Middlesboro's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ohio County, Middlesboro was happy to have turned things around on Sunday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Metcalfe County Hornets a 3-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Yellowjackets as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Middlesboro's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Metcalfe County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Coming up, Middlesboro will face off against Russell County at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lakers have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Metcalfe County, they will head out to take on Gallatin County at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
