Recap: Liberty Union Lions vs. Teays Valley Vikings
The Liberty Union Lions pushed their score all the way to 60 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Teays Valley 66-60. Liberty Union has struggled against Teays Valley recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Liberty Union lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Luke Williams, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tomas Winter, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Liberty Union's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Teays Valley, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Union will challenge New Hope Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Teays Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Logan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Logan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 746th, while Teays Valley is ranked 145th).
