Basketball Recap: Gibson County Takes a Loss

Gibson County lost against Obion County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pioneers lost to the Rebels at home by a 72-58 margin.

Obion County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Levi Hendrix led the charge by shooting 5-for-9 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double with 25 points and nine boards. Thanks to that strong game, Hendrix now owns an excellent 42.3% three-point shooting accuracy. Jatlynn Mosley was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists.

Gibson County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Obion County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Gibson County will head out to challenge Trinity Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Obion County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Peabody at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
