Basketball Recap: Washington's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Washington won the last time they faced Purcell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Washington Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-62 victory over the Purcell Dragons. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Dragons are ranked 196th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the fourth in a row for Washington, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. As for Purcell, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Washington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 80-26 victory against Newkirk on the 8th. As for Purcell, they will challenge Wagoner at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Wagoner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
