Football Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Columbus challenged Pekin on Friday. The Wildcats were dealt a 43-14 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 48-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Columbus has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Pekin, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Columbus nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
