Recap: Franklin Indians vs. Kenwood Bluebirds
The Franklin Indians lost against the Kenwood Bluebirds back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Franklin took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kenwood. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Franklin in their matchups with Kenwood: they've now lost three in a row.
Austin Mbuyi continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kenwood, scoring 31 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mbuyi has scored all season. Neo Feehan was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Franklin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-4 record this season. As for Kenwood, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Franklin's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Eastern Tech at 5:30 p.m. on February 14th. Kenwood is on the road again on Wednesday and plays Western Tech & Environmental Science at 5:30 p.m. on February 14th. Kenwood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 261 points over their last four contests.
