Basketball Recap: Saratoga Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Saratoga Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 74-48 to the Tamarac Bengals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Saints of the 75-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Despite the loss, Saratoga Central Catholic still got an impressive performance from Sophia Ryan, who posted 34 points. Ryan's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Maddison Norton, who earned eight points.

Saratoga Central Catholic now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Tamarac, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Saratoga Central Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-39 victory against Waterford-Halfmoon on the 13th. As for Tamarac, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-47 win against Cambridge on the 13th.
