Softball Recap: Capital Triumphs

Capital came out on top against Lincoln on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fifth inning. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Abes. The Cougars not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 7, 2025 (when they won 19-8).

Capital's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Lincoln, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Capital wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 0-0 draw against Black Hills on the 14th. As for Lincoln, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-6 victory against Lakes on the 16th.
