Softball Recap: Frost Takes a Loss

Frost lost against Hico back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Polar Bears lost 15-3 to the Tigers. The Polar Bears' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Mayson Souder was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Heidee Hearn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Frost's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Hico, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Frost will host Meridian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Polar Bears are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Hico, they will venture away from home to face off against Rio Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
