Basketball Game Preview: Trona Tornadoes vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles

Trona hasn't had much luck against Lone Pine recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trona Tornadoes are taking a road trip to square off against the Lone Pine Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m.

Trona lost 54-31 to Mojave on Friday.

Meanwhile, Lone Pine waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Braves 69-38. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Lone Pine's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Trona, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Trona took a serious blow against Lone Pine when the teams last played last Friday, falling 82-23. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lone Pine's Cristian Duran, who posted 17 points and three steals.
