Baseball Recap: Elizabeth Comes Up Short

Elizabeth fell victim to Johnson and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Minutemen's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Elizabeth saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Acevedo, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Johnson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Elizabeth will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Colonia at 11:00 a.m. As for Johnson, they will challenge Governor Livingston on Wednesday.
