The Monte Vista Pirates will host the Alamosa Mean Moose at 7:30 p.m. Monte Vista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.

Monte Vista's loss came about despite a quality game from Kaden Madrid, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 16 points and four steals. Those 16 points gave Madrid a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Alamosa lost 69-48 to Montezuma-Cortez on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Mean Moose can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Panthers are ranked 85th).

Alamosa's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Monte Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
