Softball Recap: Penn Cambria Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Penn Cambria never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Greater Johnstown Trojans 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won seven in a row.

Sophia Rabatin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marley Shaffer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Autumn Yeoman, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI.

Penn Cambria hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
