Volleyball Recap: Sage Creek Comes Up Short

Sage Creek came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Mission Vista. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mission Vista apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-14.

Mission Vista was led to victory by Raquel Perez and Morgan Duse-Anthony. Perez had nine digs and two aces, while Duse-Anthony hit 85.7% for six kills and nine digs, three aces, and two blocks. Duse-Anthony has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 14 times she's played.

Sage Creek's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Mission Vista, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sage Creek will host Rancho Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mission Vista, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Pasqual at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mission Vista are facing the Golden Eagles at the right time seeing as the Golden Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
