Volleyball Recap: Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South Takes a Loss

Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South lost against Richards back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Meteors fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Richards: every set was decided by two points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 23-25, 29-27.

Despite the loss, Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luis Prieto had 15 digs and three aces. Raysean Finch also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Richards, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-14.
