Soccer Game Preview: Rice Consolidated vs. Calhoun

The Rice Consolidated Raiders will take on the Calhoun Sandcrabs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Rice Consolidated's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, Rice Consolidated didn't have quite enough to beat Hempstead and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Calhoun kept a clean sheet against Wharton on Saturday. They beat the Tigers by a goal, winning 1-0. The Sandcrabs wouldn't have won without Daisy Guerrero, who scored the game-winner.

Rice Consolidated's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-3. As for Calhoun, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Rice Consolidated skirted past Calhoun 1-0 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Rice Consolidated have another victory up their sleeve, or will Calhoun turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
