Basketball Recap: Goldsboro Victorious

Goldsboro won the last time they faced Princeton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Goldsboro Cougars walked away with a 62-53 win over the Princeton Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly nine points.

Despite the loss, Princeton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Teo McPhatter posted 23 points and five boards. McPhatter's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Garrett Lane was another key player, putting up 17 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Goldsboro and bumps their season record up to 9-10. As for Princeton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Spring Creek the next time they take the court. Goldsboro will host Spring Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Princeton will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
