Basketball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 53-29 to the Medical Lake Cardinals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-15 last Tuesday.

Medical Lake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jocee Bryant, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Bryant a new career-high in blocks (four). Another player making a difference was Addison Hammel, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Medical Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Riverside will head out to face off against Colville at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Medical Lake, they will take on Lakeside at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
