Basketball Game Preview: Vestaburg Wolverines vs. St. Patrick Shamrocks

The Vestaburg Wolverines will take on the St. Patrick Shamrocks in a tournament on Wednesday. Vestaburg knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully St. Patrick likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Vestaburg was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Charles, taking the game 57-44. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, St. Patrick got the win against St. Philip Catholic Central on Friday by a conclusive 69-49. The Shamrocks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Vestaburg's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for St. Patrick, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Vestaburg was taken down by St. Patrick 63-32 in their previous matchup back in November of 2018. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
