Basketball Game Preview: The Burlington School Spartans vs. Albemarle Bulldogs

The Burlington School Spartans will take on the Albemarle Bulldogs at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for The Burlington School against Burlington Christian Academy as the squad secured a 51-24 win. The Spartans pushed the score to 42-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Royals cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Albemarle blew past West Stanly, posting a 71-26 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Colts are ranked 128th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Albemarle and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for The Burlington School, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
