Volleyball Recap: North Pemiscot Wins Going Away Against Hayti

North Pemiscot's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Hayti Indians 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: North Pemiscot took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-12, 25-5.

Cheyanne Sawyer went supernova, getting 22 assists and eight aces. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high.

Sawyer wasn't the only good servers: North Pemiscot was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 40 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

North Pemiscot's win bumped their record up to 15-6-2. As for Hayti, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, North Pemiscot will welcome Holcomb at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hayti, they will head out to take on Caruthersville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
