Basketball Recap: John Paul II Centurions vs. Taft Greyhounds
John Paul II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Taft Greyhounds on the road and fell 69-39. The Centurions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Taft, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
John Paul II will challenge New Braunfels Christian Academy on Tuesday. As for Taft, they will square off against Louise at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Taft is facing Louise at the right time seeing as Louise is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
