It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Goddard ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ruidoso Warriors, sneaking past 2-1. This was a revenge game for Goddard: when they faced off against Ruidoso back in August, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Olivia Rossow and Brianna Rivera scored both of Goddard's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Goddard's win bumped their record up to 3-5-2. As for Ruidoso, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Goddard wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Clovis on the 18th. As for Ruidoso, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Monte Del Sol Charter on the 18th.
