Softball Recap: Midway/Minto Wins Going Away Against Grafton

Midway/Minto lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Grafton, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Mustangs blew past the Spoilers 12-2 on Monday. Considering the Mustangs have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Krystal Lopez and Adyson Dauksavage did most of the damage at the plate: Lopez went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base, while Dauksavage went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Dauksavage is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Mia Cronquist was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Midway/Minto's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Grafton, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Midway/Minto will welcome Larimore at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grafton, they will head out on the road to take on Kindred at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
