            Football Recap: Hemet Bulldogs vs. Hillcrest Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Hemet played a tough  game  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a  blow against the Hillcrest Trojans, falling  42-14. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  35-7.
 Robert Carrillo threw for 80 yards and one  TD.   Russell Huser was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards and one  touchdown.  On the ground,  John Michael Cruz rushed for 45 yards.
 Hillcrest's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Reyez Ortiz, who rushed for 109 yards and a pair of  scores. Ortiz's rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 109  rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Matthew Ramos, who threw for 157 yards and three  TDs on only 11 passes.
This is the second loss in a row for Hemet and  nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Hillcrest, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hemet is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Valley View  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hillcrest will  face off against  rival Poly  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
