Basketball Game Preview: Giles Spartans vs. Radford Bobcats

Giles is 2-8 against Radford since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Giles Spartans just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Radford Bobcats at 7:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, Giles came up short against Bland County and fell 57-48. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Bears are ranked 128th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Radford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 59-48 victory over James River on Wednesday.

Radford's record now sits at 7-8. As for Giles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-15.

Giles came up short against Radford in their previous meeting last Monday, falling 57-45. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Radford's Kearson Carter, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists. Now that Giles knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
