Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fulton Science Academy on Tuesday, Pinecrest Academy came back down to earth. The Paladins were dealt a 74-16 loss at the hands of the Valor Christian Lions on Thursday. The Paladins haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Pinecrest Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Valor Christian, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pinecrest Academy will venture away from home to face off against The King's Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' defense has only allowed 25.2 points per game this season, so the Paladins' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Valor Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Lanier Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
