Soccer Game Preview: Little Village vs. Back of the Yards College Prep

Little Village is 0-4 against Back of the Yards College Prep since May of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Phoenix will venture away from home to face off against the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. Back of the Yards College Prep took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Little Village, who comes in off a win.

Little Village is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They came out on top against Juarez by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Little Village needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Back of the Yards College Prep was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They lost 4-1 to Solorio. While losing is never fun, Back of the Yards College Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Solorio are ranked 57th).

Little Village is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five games. As for Back of the Yards College Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.
