Football Recap: Jones' Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Jones extended their postseason success on Thursday against Seabreeze. They never let the Sandcrabs get on the board and left with a 26-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Fightin' Tigers, who have now won seven games by 26 points or more so far this season.

Jones got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was D'Niya Pryor out in front who threw for 155 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.2% of her passes, and also rushed for 31 yards. Ronice Berry was Pryor's top target, picking up 80 receiving yards and three scores.

The win (which was Jones' fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.4 points over those games. As for Seabreeze, they moved to 9-8 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Jones will head out to face off against Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Fightin' Tigers 6.9, the Blue Devils 1.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Seabreeze does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
