Baseball Game Preview: Southwest EC Eagles vs. Lowry Buckaroos

The Southwest EC Eagles will take on the Lowry Buckaroos at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. Lowry took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Southwest EC, who comes in off a win.

Southwest EC saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Churchill County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Brock London was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Niebla, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Southwest EC hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Churchill County struck out eight times.

Meanwhile, Lowry didn't have quite enough to beat River Valley on Thursday and fell 4-3. The Buckaroos have struggled against the Dust Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lowry saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Heikkila, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Southwest EC's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lowry, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
