Baseball Recap: Tussey Mountain Gets the Win

Tussey Mountain came out on top against Forbes Road on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Titans took their matchup against Forbes Road 8-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 back in April.

Gage Bollman was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Jace Garner also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The win got Tussey Mountain back to even at 8-8. As for Forbes Road, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Tussey Mountain will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Northern Bedford County at 4:30 p.m. The last three games the Panthers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Forbes Road, they will challenge Everett at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Forbes Road's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
