There's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Brookfield Warriors by a score of 56-46 on Friday. For the Leopards, this counts as revenge for the 60-57 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Evan Bates was the offensive standout of the game as he posted 20 points. Luke Bates was another key player, putting up ten points.

Despite the defeat, Brookfield saw an underclassman step up: freshman Blake Hammond went 8-for-17 en route to 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Hammond is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Teagen Barbe, who earned eight points.

Liberty's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 5-15. As for Brookfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Brookfield beat Liberty by a score of 60-38 on Monday.
